Thank you to all who attended YWCA NorthEastern NY’s 2020 production of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues! And a special thank you to all of our event sponsors! Because of all of you, we were able to raise money to support our Domestic Violence Support Programs and Services. Check out pictures from the evening here

Join YWCA NorthEastern NY on Friday, February 28, 2020 for a fun night out as community leaders come together to present a performance of Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues in the GE Theatre at Proctors to benefit YWCA NENY’s Domestic Violence Programs.

Doors open at 6PM – come early and join us for some pre-show fun including raffles, a cash bar, snacks, and more! At 7PM, watch as familiar faces from the Capital Region perform Eve Ensler’s powerful collection of monologues from women around the world. The monologues explore sexual experiences, body image, reproduction encounters, sex work, and several other topics through the eyes of women of all ages, races, sexualities, and beyond.

NEW THIS YEAR: Every woman has their own story….several actually! Whether it’s funny, embarrassing, gut wrenching or inspirational, we are looking to add 3 monologues from women in our community this year to The Vagina Monologues! You can come up on stage with us or we can have someone read it for you, that cast will choose their 3 favorite to add to the already amazing show!!

The New York Times hailed the play as “the most important piece of political theater of the last decade” and now YWCA NENY is staging this performance in honor of women everywhere. All funds raised will directly benefit YWCA’s domestic violence programs and women & family services. We join together in the global movement working to end violence against women and girls.

Purchase your tickets from the Proctors website or by visiting their box office.

A group of amazing community leaders are involved in this performance! Check back soon to meet the amazing cast.
