In 2024, YWCA NorthEastern NY and C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios have decided to reimagine our annual art exhibit, previously known as the “Inspiring Women Project,” as “Together in Color” to highlight unity and diversity beyond gender. The “Together in Color” exhibit will be open to the public throughout Pride Month in June at YWCA NENY, located at 44 Washington Ave. in Schenectady. Through this year’s showcase, we aim to continue fostering connections among people from diverse backgrounds and identities while celebrating our differences and shared experiences.

We are currently seeking artists to contribute 1-3 pieces of artwork that reflect the theme “Together in Color.” If you’re interested in showcasing your work, please complete the application form provided below! Applications will be accepted until May 15th, 2024.

  • Dates of Exhibit: June 1 – 30 daily 10am to 8pm
  • Deadline to drop off artwork: May 24th, 2024
  • Artists are limited to 3 entries due to the overwhelming response we received in previous years
  • Maximum size of artwork: 24″ x 36″, 5lbs (exceptions will be made if artists provide their own easel for larger pieces)
  • Artists’ Reception: May 30th, 2024 at 5:30 PM
  • You may sell your art while hosted in this exhibit we ask that 25% of proceeds be donated to support CREATE Community Studios and YWCA NorthEastern NY’s Youth Violence Prevention Program.

Please note that this is an easel and tabletop exhibit. We will not be able to mount artwork. Artwork should be framed or matted and ready to display.
