Join the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern NY for the conclusion to our Food and Culture series. We will take you on our journey over the past year with all the learning, collaborating, and growing we have done as a community to reduce the barrier between our different cultures. Then, let us introduce you to all that is available to help your organization be culturally responsive to the guests you serve.
An inclusive exhibit to empower and celebrate all women and non-binary folks during Women's History Month. Applications to be included in the exhibit will be accepted until February 20th, 2023.
The exhibit will be free and open to the public from March 8th-15th 10am to 8pm daily at YWCA NENY, 44 Washington Ave. Schenectady, NY. Donations will be excepted and will benefit YWCA NENY and C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios.
This year, YWCA NENY is honored to celebrate trailblazing individuals in our community who embody our mission, whether at work or in their personal lives, by working towards the elimination of racism and/or empowering women.
For the 40th anniversary, we will be celebrating the Empowerment Awards Gala (formerly Women of Achievement) by recognizing ten individuals in our community for their incredible accomplishments in nine categories.
Prepare to be inspired and celebrate the accomplishments of our honorees with an awards ceremony and celebration! Please join us on March 23rd, 2023 at Rivers Casino to celebrate not only the amazing individuals but also 40 years of these awards, and 135 years of YWCA NorthEastern NY!
We’re excited to announce that YWCA’s Racial Justice Challenge (Stand Against Racism) will return for its 5th year on April 17th – May 15th, 2023. YWCA’s Racial Justice Challenge is a virtual learning tool designed to create dedicated time and space to build more effective social justice habits, particularly those dealing with issues of race, power, privilege, and leadership. New content is released on weekdays and participants log on to the challenge app on their phone or visit the website and are presented with 21 days of activities such as reading an article, listening to a podcast, or reflecting on personal experience.
