Make a Difference in Your Community!

YWCA NorthEastern NY is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all. We invite you to join our mission by hosting your own third-party fundraiser to help support the vital programs and services we offer in our community.  We wish we could be everywhere, but this is where you come in!

Why Host a Third-Party Fundraiser?

By organizing a fundraiser, you can:

    • Support a Cause that Matters: Your fundraiser will help us continue to provide essential services, such as shelter, housing, childcare, and advocacy for our most vulnerable community members.
    • Raise Awareness: Help spread the word about YWCA NENY’s mission and the important work we do to eliminate racism and empower women.
    • Engage Your Community: Whether it’s through a local event, online campaign, networking happy hour or creative initiative, a third-party fundraiser allows you to connect with people who share your passion for social change.

How to Get Started:

1. Choose Your Fundraising Idea

Pick an activity or event that you’re passionate about! Some popular ideas include:

  • Virtual challenges like a walk/run
  • Bake sales, car washes, garage sales, or craft fairs
  • Hosting a community event like concerts, cocktail hours, dinners, auctions, etc.
  • Know or own a business? Whether you put a collection ‘jar’ out or donate a portion of your sales, every dollar supports our mission.
  • Birthday party or celebration where guests are asked to make contributions to YWCA NENY in lieu of gifts
  • Online crowdfunding campaigns
  • Employee/company or school fundraisers
2. Set Your Goal

Determine how much you’d like to raise. Every dollar counts, and setting a goal helps you stay motivated as you plan your fundraiser!

3. Create Your Fundraiser

Contact us to get started! We’ll provide you with all the tools you need, including our logo, promotional materials, and guidance to help you make your fundraiser a success.

4. Promote Your Event

Share your fundraiser on social media, in your community, and with your friends and family. The more people who know about your event, the bigger impact it will have.  We will share it from our platforms as well!

5. Host and Celebrate!

Whether virtual or in-person, your fundraiser will help raise awareness and funds to support the mission of YWCA Northeastern New York.

Benefits of Hosting a Fundraiser
  • Support Your Local Community: Create immediate impact in your community with every dollar being donated directly to YWCA’s programs and services.
  • Recognition and Gratitude: You’ll be recognized for your efforts in helping make positive changes in our community. We will celebrate your success on our website, in our newsletter, and on social media.
