YWCA NENY is coming together again to celebrate our local artists during the month of March through an exhibit that will be shown from March 8-15. The public will be invited to attend. Show us what you have been making!
March is Women’s History Month, a dedicated month to reflect on the often-overlooked contributions of women to U.S. history. In honor of Women’s History Month, we are celebrating art that has been inspired by women (trans-inclusive)
Please note that this is an easel and tabletop exhibit. We will not be able to mount artwork. Paintings and drawings should be framed or matted and ready to display.
Dates of Exhibit: March 8-15th, 2023 daily 10am to 8pm
Deadline for submissions: February 20th, 2023
Deadline to drop off artwork: March 1st, 2023
Artists are limited to 2 entries due to the overwhelming response we received for the 2022 exhibit
Maximum size of artwork: 24″ x 36″, 5lbs (exceptions will be made if artists provide their own easel for larger pieces)
Artists’ Reception: March 8th, 2023 at 5:30 PM
You may sell your art while hosted in this exhibit – 10% of the proceeds should be donated back to YWCA NorthEastern NY and CREATE Community Studios
Once your artwork has been accepted into the exhibit, you will be contacted by Danielle Schimpf, Administrative Coordinator, in order to coordinate a drop-off time.
*There will be a silent auction at the 40th Annual Empowerment Awards on March 23rd, 2023. All proceeds will benefit the YWCA NorthEastern NY Empowerment, Healing, and Wellness Center for survivors of domestic violence.
